You were created because God loved the idea of you! He loves you and has a plan to give you HOPE and a FUTURE. He loved you so much he sent Jesus to die for you.

About NorthGate

Like many churches in our generation we seek to draw near to Christ in every way. In order to do so we have emphasized the study of the Word of God. From the Word we strengthen our faith preparing us for our mission to go into all the world and make disciples of every nation.

Worship and praise are essential elements of our ministry. Fully one third of our corporate gatherings consist of songs of honor and gratitude to our Lord. We
delight in honoring the Lord for His love and the great gift of life we have received. Music and arts are an important aspect of both learning and expressing our faith.

We continue to hold fast to precepts that have long been established as
true foundations of the Christian faith. For instance, we believe in one God, the Maker of heaven and earth and all that is in them. We believe that God is a triune Spirit, meaning that the Father, the Son, and the Spirit are one. God is our Father, and Jesus is the only begotten son of God, while the Holy Spirit is His Omni-Present and powerful representative who indwells all who receive and obey His
call to repentance and service.

We adhere to the practice of a believer’s baptism. Children may be
dedicated to the Lord by their parents with our blessing and at the age of accountability they can choose for themselves to be baptized.

We recognize that sin is the condition into which we were all born. Jesus

paid the price for our sin by His own death and sacrifice on the Cross.
Any person may receive forgiveness when he or she recognizes that
it was for his own sin that Jesus died. Repenting of sin by changing their minds and by turning away from evil is the living fruit of their faith.

Jesus delivered us from sin and the resulting death by dying on the Cross. He was three days in the grave, then was raised from the dead by the power of God the Father. His disciples saw and heard Him teach for 50 days as He gave witness of His resurrection. He then ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father to ever live to intercede for the saints on the earth. Now we practice forgiveness as Christ forgives.

On the day of Pentecost the church received the Holy Spirit and the
revelation of the Kingdom of God. From that point the dwelling place of
God on the earth has been in the heart of every believer.
Rather than a religion with all its related burdens upon man, Jesus
intended for us to walk in relationship with Him and to become His
representatives on the earth as ambassadors of His love.

We have structured NorthGate Church after the pattern found in scripture.
Paul shows the order and government of the Church clearly in Ephesians 4:
9-16. He wrote of how Jesus brought the apostolic and prophetic foundations to the forefront of His work as governmental authorities. (Eph. 2:20) The apostle and prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher, along with the gifts of helps and administration form a very clear representation of servant leadership.

We believe that leadership is a calling rather than a vocation. We are
blessed to have all of the five-fold ministry at NorthGate Church in
active roles. The apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher are
elders and serve as a presbytery. They preside over all the business and
policy of the fellowship. All of these are given as gifts to the church for the edification and building up of the Body until we all attain to the fullness of the
stature of Jesus. (Eph. 4:9-16)

NorthGate also serves as a resource center to train and equip families and
ministers for a life of faith in the midst of troubling times. Children-We are very committed to the training and spiritual growth of our children. Each week dedicated teachers present well planned programs for them. We are expanding our ministry by providing recreational equipment and outdoor activities in addition to godly, biblical foundations.

How Do I Get Involved?

NorthGate Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place to get active in the body of Christ. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at NorthGate Church.

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, NorthGate Church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. Our small groups meet every Wednesday night at 7pm.

Our children’s ministry is parent-led. Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn.

Life can be complicated in those teen years. We are blessed to have a God who knows how to raise His kids! Every Sunday night students from ages 11-3yrs (junior high) and 14-18yrs.(senior high) meet for a time of great fun, good teaching and worship.

NorthGate provides the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group meets every Wednesday morning at 9:30am. This group provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the ladies of NorthGate and of the surrounding community.

Every year there is an entire weekend dedicated to spiritual growth and discipleship at our Women’s Retreats.

Studying the Word is a passion for the men of NorthGate. Every Saturday morning they gather together to read and discuss the Word of God. As a side effect, they tend to become great friends and grow in relationships. Also, every year the men travel to the North Carolina mountains and retreat together for a time of worship, rest, and fun!

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun! Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of NorthGate provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction.

Faith & the Law of Agreement

A house divided against itself cannot stand! –Mark 3:24-25
Genesis 11 shows us the power and danger of a unity without redemption. “…And nothing that they imagine to do shall be withheld from them.” God dissolved the power of a singularity of intention and design by promoting division (confusing their language); the world continues to suffer under that confusion.
Post-Redemption Restoration of the Power of Unity Through Christ:

Knowing Jesus is Knowing God!

Each disciple who deepens their relationship with God the Father has new questions about who God is.
The Bible gives us the history of how God has chosen to reveal Himself to those who receive Christ. We can only know God by the revelation of Himself to us.
We know that Jesus is God the Son, that the Father is God the Father, and the Holy Spirit is God the Spirit. However, we often fall short of recognizing His ma …

Faith is…!

Faith is………..!

From the Genesis of the Creation a single thread of truth presents continuity for us all. It connects the first moment of life with today’s realities. Every person who is born today will be equipped with this heritage that, if employed, will transform them and adopt them into the family of God.

When God sent forth “The Word” it was the first act of faith that is recorded for our benefit. If God calls those things that are not as though they already are (Ro. 4:17) …

Hitting the Mark

The strength that we have been awarded comes directly to us by the complete work of Jesus.
In fulfilling the Will of God, He established the New Order. It is an environment of Peace and Mercy. It is an economy and a world view where Justice and Righteousness prevails over greed and avarice. This divine Order affords, all who believe, the power to become the Sons of God. Yet …

The Critical Spirit

A spirit of criticism in any group or fellowship of faith brings with it a formula for destruction. If you find a critical spirit in your own life, it spawns doubt, unbelief and disobedience.

The critical spirit questions motives, not actions, and judges them. It stands with its fists raised in the face of authority.

It is the law of agreement which perfects and preserves the unity of the Body of Christ. We are commissioned to weigh all things with spiritual …

The Trial of Our Faith

If you are a person of faith, your faith will be tried. Keep Satan’s schemes, plots and plans in context. He has deceived the Nations. Hold fast to your faith! The attacks against our faith (trials) will keep coming, but Satan is a defeated foe and through Jesus, we have the victory!
